For this project, I was responsible for sculpting a horrifying Wendigo creature designed for a game. Using Maya, I focused on creating an anorexic and slender form with a detailed bone structure, muscles, and grotesque skin elements. The design balanced organic sculpting for its anatomy with sharper, more rigid elements like antlers and claws.
I optimized the sculpt for game-ready use by retopologizing within Maya. I used Arnold for rendering, experimenting with lighting and shading to capture its terrifying silhouette. This project showcases my ability to bring horror-inspired creatures to life with a strong blend of technical skill and artistic vision.
This project was my first ever sculpt. However, I'm quite proud of it. The biggest challenge for this project was topology. Keeping precise and symmetrical topology was a huge obstacle for me. It's still not perfect, but I'm still very happy with it. I learned so much about Maya from this project.
